Jordan and Cian Adams will be admitted as Honorary Freemen of the Borough of Redditch following a motion proposed by the Leader of Redditch Borough Council Cllr Matt Dormer.
The motion received unanimous cross-party support at Monday's (June 29th) full council meeting of Redditch Borough Council.
Jordan and Cian Adams, from Redditch, also known as "The FTD Brothers," have become known for their prolific fundraising and advocacy work for dementia research.
After tragically losing their mother and 11 other family members to familial frontotemporal dementia (FTD), both brothers underwent genetic testing and discovered they also carry the faulty MAPT mutation gene. This means they have a near-certainty of developing the same incurable neurodegenerative condition, likely beginning in their mid-to-late 40s.
Rather than letting the diagnosis consume them, Jordan (31) and Cian (26) view it as a "licence to live" and have dedicated their lives to raising awareness. Their viral, high-profile physical endurance challenges have captured the public's hearts and raised nearly £2 million.
The formal ceremony to admit Jordan and Cian as Honorary Freemen of the Borough will take place at the Palace Theatre, Redditch, on Wednesday, August 26th 2026.
The ceremony will be open to the public, although tickets will be required to guarantee a seat. Details of how to obtain tickets will be announced in due course.

"Jordan and Cian have shown extraordinary courage, determination and selflessness. Through their remarkable fundraising and tireless work raising awareness of frontotemporal dementia, they have inspired people across our borough and far beyond, while bringing immense pride to Redditch.
"This was one of those occasions where politics was rightly put to one side. Every councillor recognised the outstanding contribution these two remarkable local men have made, not only through their incredible fundraising but by giving hope to families affected by frontotemporal dementia and representing Redditch with such humility and dignity.
