Residents across Redditch are being urged to take part in an important survey as part of the government’s Towns Fund initiative that could see Redditch benefit from upto £25m investment in schemes to help implement regeneration schemes.

The message from Redditch Conservatives since 2017 has been around the need to #UnlockRedditch and release its full potential. On taking full control of the Borough Council in May of 2018 the new administration set to work on increasing the ambition of the town’s regeneration plans and ensuring they made more sense than the previous administration’s low quality vision, which seemed to centre on turning the Town Hall into a block of flats.

Under local Conservatives the town has seen an injection of positive optimism despite the challenging times that COVID-19 has caused. Even during the midst of a pandemic the council is getting on with upgrading the playground at Arrow Valley Country Park for example.

The plans being supported by the Conservative administration include a vision to upgrade the train station to two platforms, allowing more services and an improved mix of services. It’s an essential move if we want to get to Birmingham quicker. What’s more, the vision we support sees better use of the space around the train station including a mix of housing, offices, shops and leisure.

Your views on this vision and your ideas will help strengthen the Redditch bid to government, so have your say on the link below.

Please share the link to the survey with as many local residents as you can – the more people who have their say the more representative the data will be.
